The Wrong Match

The Wrong Match is an interactive game that raises awareness about the dangers women may face through dating apps.
This project received the Excellence in Multimedia award and is now featured as an example for future MMDD students.

  • 1. Research & Ideation

    Explored real-world dangers of online dating to create an impactful and realistic narrative.

    Studied similar interactive thriller games for inspiration in gameplay mechanics and storytelling.

    Outlined multiple endings based on player choices.

  • 2. Story & Dialogue Writing

    Developed a storyline with different outcomes depending on player decisions.

    Wrote immersive dialogues to heighten tension and make interactions feel realistic.

    Paced to maintain suspense and keep players engaged.

  • 3. Visual Development

    1. Shakker AI was used to generate initial character and environment images.

    2. Photoshop was used to enhance AI-generated images, adjusting lighting and consistency to match the game's theme.

    3. Illustrator was used to create UI elements and game assets.

  • 4. Prototyping & Interaction Design

    Built the interactive experience in Figma, designing UI components and flow.

    Created button prompts and decision-making mechanics for players to explore different paths.

  • 5. Animation & Video Production

    Used After Effects to add effects, smooth transitions, and enhance visual storytelling.

    Integrated Kling AI to assist in generating and structuring the game’s promotional video.

  • 6. Final Testing & Adjustments

    Tested the interactive experience for functionality and engagement.

    Adjusted UI, dialogue timing, and transitions for better user experience.

    Reviewed the overall flow to ensure a smooth, immersive narrative.
